Editing your profile and avatar

Open Edit Profile from the account menu. You can update the friendly display name, biography, optional location, HTTPS website address and timezone.

Avatar uploads accept PNG, JPEG or WebP images up to the displayed size limit. Uploaded files are checked, re-encoded and stored under a random protected filename.

The permanent username is not changed through the profile editor. Staff identity procedures govern exceptional username changes so public history remains accountable.
